my father thanked me multiple times for his gift and keeps on wearing it. he is usually hard to please and he is a little to big but the size fit and looked perfect on him. THe one thing i dont like about this jacket is that it looks to thin but he hasnt complained about that, he says it is extremely warm. i love the cost,everywere else i went on the internet is was always 1500 0r 1000 or something ridicoulsely expensive.

Let me start out by saying that overall I love this jacket. It is very warm, looks great, and has great value. The coat is fully lined with shearling from top to bottom. The pictures worried me a bit because it looked like the bottom half of the coat was unlined, but you can reach behind the inner pocket and feel the shearling extending down to the bottom of the coat.

I am giving this coat a 4 instead of a 5 for two reasons. First, the coat is a lot darker than pictured. When I first opened the package I thought they had sent me the black coat instead of the brown that I had ordered. Needless to say the brown coat is a DARK brown, much darker than the picture indicates. It is so dark that I wear my black gloves with it instead of my dark brown gloves. But I think the dark brown looks much nicer than the photos on the web. It contrasts nicely with the lighter brown shearling lining.
The second reason why I gave a 4 instead of a 5 is because of the weight. This is completely a matter of personal preference, but I prefer leather coats with a thick hide for durability. sure they are heavy, but they last forever!! This coat was much lighter than I would have liked. Furthermore, the leather is very soft and supple so I worry about damaging it. Again, if you like soft, supple leathers you will love this but for me I was a bit disappointed. I was concerned that the coat would be too light to use as a winter jacket so I walk around outside for about 15 minutes with a sweatshirt on under the coat (23F with a 15-20mph wind) and was pleasantly surprised at how warm the shearling kept me. No problems there.

so bottom line its a great coat that is lightweight, warm, and fully lined with shearling. Be aware that the color of the leather on the brown coat is closer to black and also be aware that the coat is lightweight, but overall the brown shearling coat has exceeded my expectations so far.
