I bought these 2 as gifts. I bought a red one about 8 years ago and 2 others about 2 1/2 years ago and they all had the US Seal embossed on them and the 2 did not have it on them. However, the leather is of an execellent quality and it has a bit more on the inside. The note pad is a really good idea complete with writing pen.
